Weddings: Boy, this is one pressure packed gig. We are producing videos to last for many generations. Wedding ceremonies can quickly become highly emotional events. With all the activities planned on this jam packed day it’s no wonder something always goes wrong. What?! The batteries in the cameras!!...NO WAY. Oh yes it happens. The HD cameras, drones for aerial shots must be in perfect working condition BEFORE the event. Seems only logical but you would be very surprised how easy it can be to simply forget these basic functions on the big pressure packed day. Brides are very nervous and sometimes asking to film them is a bad idea. The newlyweds seating charts may not work real well for camera angles and the lighting the client desires. Keep an eye on the plans for the bouquet toss. The bouquet toss is a hugely historical event that needs to be captured and stored for years to come. Ball gowns, dresses and tuxedos must be captured either on video or with excellent still shots. Outdoor activity becomes very tricky sometimes with the wind direction and intensity of weather. Outdoor shooting can also change very quickly so adapting becomes critical in the set up. In fact everything is “critical” on wedding day. Maybe that is why some super crazy things happen on wedding day. Night shots are always in demand and require special equipment and special skills. Remember though the editing later will probably save the day. Still videos of ball gowns, bridesmaids dresses , tuxedos and shoes are sometimes needed. Who wants to look at stationary clothing and shoes?..you might be very surprised who wants those shots. Remember these videos will be around for decades. So keep in mind everybody, and I mean everybody is really uptight on wedding day. Try to keep calm when the surroundings become highly emotional. You might think a police chase has more pressure than a brides wedding but we have done enough weddings to know how to perform under these emotional circumstances.
